Classic Video Game Goodies

Lots of other stuff came with video games, like posters, entry forms for contests, and club membership kits and the like. This is where I put all that great stuff like that.

The SwordQuest cartridges came packaged with some very cool SwordQuest : Challenge posters. These posters also doubled as the rules and entry forms for the contest. These things are pieces of art, and shame on you if you threw yours away.
These are the ones packaged with Earthworld and Fireworld. I would give an ass and a half for the one that came with Waterworld, but that's a far cry from reality.
Note: The webserver for http://srh0025.urh.uiuc.edu is a Windows 95 system and the desktop wallpaper is the Earthworld poster above. My Pentium class workstation has the Fireworld poster as its X-windows background. Feel free to use them yourself.

Atari, just like anyone else, had their own Video Game club where you sent in your $1-3 and you got cool membership forms, cards, and newsletters about upcoming games and contests. I never joined any of them, so I have no idea. The entry form pictured doubles as the mail-in-envelope. Get this! No Postage Required! Man, if only things were like that today.

Here are materials that you got when you actually joined the Atari Video Club:

A coupon that you could use to get $2 off an order of a 2600 VCS cart, but only through the Atari Video Club.

A letter sent to Atari Video Club members telling them of the great deals that they'd be recieving over the next years, such as cool Atari Age magazine.
