M Network: It's a whole new challenge for your VCS!
- This is a catalog from M Network. Lots of people wanted to
have Intellivision titles for their 2600 VCS (I don't blame them)
and, of course, that gave Mattel Electronics another possible
market. They translated several of their smash hit INTV titles
like Astrosmash, Tron Deadly Discs, Frog Bog, and
Lock -n- Chase to the VCS. Some of them are ok, though personally
I think the M Network titles have low quality graphics and pale
in comparison to their INTV counterparts. You can tell that Mattel
had no desire to go all out creating 2600 titles.
Catalog #1:
M Network Catalog from 1982
The screen shots are the only thing you get to see in this
thing, really. No hype, no promises. Just a one line description
of the game and whether it's one or two players. Hmmm, do you
think Mattel really cared?
